Kailyn Kausen is currently a student at University of California, Santa Barbara in the College of Creative Studies studying Writing and Literature.
She knew she wanted to be a writer when at eleven, after reading Eragon and dreaming it was she riding on Saphira’s back. However, she didn’t really start writing until sophomore year of high school, at age fifteen. As she’s told, before she was able to read, she’d look at the images in picture books before bed and in the car, making up stories based on what she saw.
She has several novel’s in progress in the genres of dystopia, science fiction, and fantasy. Her target audience is Middle Grade and Young Adult.
